Organization is an extremely underrated tool that can greatly improve a child's success in school. This is an area where parents and children tend to experience much frustration and tension. I will teach your child how to be organized, using an organizer and reward system. Once your child is experiencing the success and confidence that being organized brings, it will become a habit, eliminating your frustrating interactions.

Homework time can be a very stressful event for parents and children. The goal is for good homework habits to become routine. This is achieved by establishing a regular homework schedule and the use of a checklist and reward system. I will turn homework time into a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Knowing how to study is the difference between success and frustration. Your child will learn proven study skills, including summarizing, outlining, note cards, and time management. Good study skills result in better performance.

Is there one subject your child is struggling with? Writing? Math? etc... Your child will receive specific instruction aimed at making the subject matter easier to understand, and tools to work through future challenges. The subject matter will be broken down and explained in detail, part by part, until the light bulb has, indeed, turned on!
